About Me

I grew up on the south-side suburbs of Chicago. I have always had a passion for the arts (drawing, acting, singing, etc) and knew at an early age that I wanted to be a Fine Arts teacher.

In addition to my love for everything art I also have a passion for traveling. Before graduating college I had been to over twenty different countries (including China!) and studied abroad in England, France, and Spain. I graduated from Elmhurst College with honors and a degree in K-12 Art Education.

I have been teaching Fine Art at Dawes Elementary for the last nine years. During my time here I have lead the school Talent Show, Art Club, and Muralistas (summer mural club). I have also served as a member of the ILT and Social Emotional Committee.

During the last two years I have raised nearly $3,000 for the art program through Donors Choose

In my free time I perform in local

community theatre groups and hang

out with my dog Maggie
